Adventures in Code

A collection of magical quests and challenges overcome...

OpenFarm

C#, Avalonia, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker • Jan 2025–Present

Co-founded and led UI/UX & desktop architecture for a scalable 3D print-farm platform.

Cloud Drawing App

Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase • September - December 2024

Implemented secure user authentication with Firebase, enabling email/password login, user sign-ups, and persistent session management.

Developed functionality for storing and retrieving user-specific drawings locally, with options to upload for public sharing or save shared drawings for personal use.

Integrated Firebase Realtime Database to enable seamless collaboration, allowing users to browse, view, and interact with drawings uploaded by others.

Designed an intuitive interface with Jetpack Compose, optimizing usability for switching between personal and shared content tabs.

Fractal Education App

C++, Qt • January - April 2024

Collaborated in a team of four to develop an interactive tutorial application, teaching graph transformations and fractal generation through an engaging tutorial and sandbox mode.

Developed backend functionality for the tutorial mode and sandbox, enabling users to explore and manipulate parameters like x, y, and z to experiment with Barnsley Fern and fractal visualizations.

Learning Management System

C#, SQL, MariaDB, ASP.NET • January - April 2024

Designed and implemented a role-based user interface, dynamically displaying content and functionality based on user roles (e.g., admin, student) through seamless integration of C# and SQL.

Enhanced database security by implementing input serialization in C#, mitigating SQL injection vulnerabilities, and improving overall system resilience.

The Protagonist

Hello! I am Tyler.

I'm a Computer Science major based in my hometown Salt Lake City, Utah and set to finish my CS credits Fall 2025.

I will finish my minor in Business to graduate Spring 2026.

I'm a passionate and curious computer science student with a strong interest in UI/UX design and full-stack development. I enjoy crafting intuitive, accessible interfaces that prioritize user readability and experience—ensuring that applications are easy to navigate for everyone. Full-stack development excites me because it blends creative problem-solving with technical depth; I love designing sleek frontends while building robust, scalable backends. I find fulfillment in creating software that not only works well but feels great to use.

In my free time, I enjoy reading literature, especially fantasy novels, my current all time favorite is A Song of Ice and Fire (also known as Game of Thrones) by George R. R. Martin. I also enjoy spending my time outdoors whether that be camping, skiing, or mountain biking.
